WHO WE ARE
The name Nuh’s Ark was chosen in honor of one of the greatest prophets in our Islamic tradition. Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) called his people to God for nearly 1,000 years in a time when most people were not willing to hear his invitation or his warnings. He promised to provide them with a safe haven and a means of salvation. In our days, when many children are being exposed to a myriad of negative influences during their formative years, Nuh’s Ark aims to be a safe haven for Islamic values, etiquettes, and lessons. Our hope is to nurture the fitra (primordial nature) of children to contemplate and know their Lord through His signs.
OUR MISSION
Nuh’s Ark is much more than a simple childcare/preschool program. Our intention is to nurture a cohort of children who see each other and their teachers as family. They will learn together, eat together, clean together, and explore together.
- Limit their children’s exposure to media.
- Prioritize the protection and nurturing of their children’s hearts.
- Value adab, kindness, and good character in raising their children
- Desire for their children to have a deep spiritual connection with Allah
- Embrace opportunities for their child to get dirty
About Principal & Founder
Kiran Adnan is the founder of Nuh’s Ark. She is an experienced preschool teacher and parent. She taught at ILM Tree preschool in Lafayette, CA, for the past four years and in other home-based preschool programs prior to ILM Tree. She has received her Early Childhood Education from Diablo Valley College which included working in the DVC Early Childhood lab, but education runs in her blood.....
